The Blog
Take control of your content
Over the weekend SP&E sent an email recapping the reveal party. They had HYPE at the event taking pictures and posted all the photos online on their social media. The reveal recap was part of their monthly newsletter that is sent to all students by email. I was pretty excited to get my first feature in a campus-wide email... even if you couldn't see my face.
CAB Could Do This Too
Checking out HYPE's recap of the reveal party made me realize that I could do that too! And probably do it better. The SP&E/HYPE newsletter inspired me to try something of my own.
I could also hear the voice of one of my professors in the back of my mind stating how disappointed he was that no one in the class had a personal website or was regularly creating content. Spring Day desperately needed a website and I was the girl to make it happen.
A Blog as a Tactic
In week since the reveal party I must have been asked a dozen times "Wait, what is the Spring Day theme?" No one understood what "Wild and Free" meant and their biggest follow up question was "what do I wear?" We desperately needed to create content that could accurately explain our vision for Spring Day. I always get annoyed by HubSpot die-hards who can't speak about marketing without blabbing on about the importance of inbound. But in this moment I realized the value that content creation had.
The blog could be one of the most influential tactics in our marketing strategy. I am excited to enter this world of content creation and I hope to have posts up daily, starting next week.
